Our Story

Bridge the Block Inc. was born from a simple but powerful realization: talent and potential exist everywhere, but opportunity doesn't.

We believe that skills like coding, budgeting, and digital literacy are building blocks that give people the power to grow. These aren't luxuries—they're essential tools for navigating and succeeding in today's world.

Our mission is to bring these tools into communities that have been left out—what we call "tech and literacy deserts"—so families can learn, earn, and build better futures together.

Meet Our Founder

Victoria Pacheco-Miller

Victoria is the Founder and Executive Director of Bridge the Block Inc, a nonprofit dedicated to closing the opportunity gap in "tech and literacy deserts" through accessible technology and financial education.

A seasoned Senior Technical Operations and Strategy professional, Victoria is passionate about technology and solution-driven innovation. Growing up as an Army brat, she lived all over the world, gaining a global perspective that shaped her commitment to community impact. For the last eight years, Victoria has worked with children and seniors to build coding skills, improve financial literacy, and introduce robotics, empowering individuals who are often left out of such opportunities due to cost or lack of access.

The idea for Bridge the Block was born from her time as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. When her Little expressed interest in robotics but couldn't find accessible programs on Chicago's West Side, Victoria recognized a broader need.Today, she partners with schools, libraries, and park districts to bring coding, budgeting, and robotics programs directly into underserved communities.

Her goal is simple yet powerful: "to bridge the gap, build the bridge, and open doors to opportunity for children, seniors, and families."
